Dear Chef Sai;
My husband and I recently dined at DeWolf Tavern, enjoying the Tandoor
Roasted Chicken and Lobster. Will you explain what a Tandoor Oven is?
The Tandoor oven is cylindrical and heated with charwood (not
briquettes). It reaches temperatures up to 900 degrees - immediately
searing the food exterior and maintaining the natural juices
which enhance all flavors. This method of Tandoor is so popular that we
are on our second oven!
We have vegetarian family members visiting - will they have ample choices?

Hi Lesley & Tom;
I grew up in a vegetarian home, and my mother still is!
Therefore, I have a great love of and experience with vegetarian
appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Some of our most popular include
Brussel Sprout Cornbread Hash, our housemade Sweet Potato Gnocchi with a
choice of sides, as well as "Design Your Own Entree" combining any
three sides and Naan Bread. A complete list is under our Menu icon.
In addition, we can provide Vegan Selections as well as Gluten Free. Please ask your server for assistance.
We have been big fans of DeWolf Tavern since you opened in 2004.
Several people have commented that the DeWolf Tavern serves Indian
food. How do you describe your cuisine?

A good question! We are foremost a Contemporary American Cuisine
Restaurant. In fact, Boston Magazine's Conde Nast Traveler awarded us
"Best New American Cuisine in New England" in 2007. I enjoy combining
my diverse food experiences and training with a variety of flavors and
techniques, using the freshest seasonal ingredients I can find. Don't
hesitate to ask your server about flavors or intensity.

Does the DeWolf ever do private parties? We are thinking of a rehearsal dinner.
Certainly - we regularly customize private events. Please review some
sample event menu selections under Your Special Event. We regularly use
the Bristol Harbor Room for private functions. We also have the superb
waterfront deck which is tented seasonally. Keep us in mind for
private events of 2 through 200!!!
